What do the Goddess Sekhmet, the Goddess Ast' and Mulkie the first Lycan have in common?
Absolutely nothing, except for the fact that both Ast' and Sekhmet were Egyptian Goddesses and Mulkie, is believed to be connected with both Romulus and Remus. Ast', better known in the Western world as Isis the bringer of Life, keeper of Death, and the passage to the underworld; while Sekhmet is the harbinger of destruction and vengeance. As stated by historical events, after killing his brother Remus, Romulus founded Rome in 753B.C, and both were later basically ascended to a state of Godhood.
Now, take all of this, and mix it about, and throw Arieanna Holensworth in the mix; and you have Teaching Between Midnight and Dawn.
These myths and legends are exactly what Arieanna and Auron must wade through in order to live, or die among them; while finding a lasting love that will conquer what fate has in-store for them. Teaching between Moonlight and Dawn, deals with the Legend of Mulkie the first Lycan King, Sekhmet the supposed first Vampire, Ast' Mother Goddess, and the infamous book of Magic that legend holds that Ast' inscribed after she conned Re' to instill her with his power.
Unknown to Arieanna is the fact that Auron has been sent by a secret sect priesthood of St. Isadora of Seville, and is actually there to protect the descendent of Ast' at all cost. His number one objective is to keep that book from entering the hands of the wrong people, in spite of the fact that it might cause his own death. Even though he was exiled nearly two centuries ago, Auron knows that if that book gets to Jimmy Mann, all hell will break lose. Centuries of war will then spill onto a human battle ground, and the Council will do whatever it takes to keep that from happening. The Council has a job to do, and they don't care about casualties, even if it means wiping every last one of them out, the descendent, Lycans, Warlocks, Witches, Shape-shifters and Vampires alike.
The legend says that she alone holds the key to the location of Ast's infamous book of magick; the only problem is that she doesn't know it yet! She will invoke great power and only Auron can help her control it, in order to keep her from wiping out both paranormal, and humans alike.
